Christian Dior by Gianfranco Ferre Mini Corset Dress, SS 1994

Outstanding 90s Vintage Spring 1994 Christian Dior by Gianfranco Ferre Mini Corset Dress with Metal Accents. Excellent condition, in-built corset. Fully lined in silk. No labels with fabric info and size.

I love this dress and think it is a beautiful example of Ferre's work during his time as Creative Director for Dior. Very similar items with the same metal accents of this piece walked the runway. The tag is numbered which for the boutique line label usually denotes a custom order or an order by an established client during this time period. The dress has a fairly simple cut. Its color is not red, but orangy red. The beauty of it is in the heavy metal embellishments that were the cornerstone of this runway shows theme. A large design made of individually set pieces made out of cut-work and filigree silver metal. These elaborate metal pieces really make a statement. It is remarkable, extremely well made and is in excellent condition. One of my favorite pieces. Fully lined in silk. There are no labels with fabric info though or size.
